Gary Fuller Jones

April 23, 1946 ~ February 2, 2018 (age 71)

Gary Fuller Jones, 71, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018. He was born in Mecklenburg County, son of the late Judson and Nancy Edith Sherrill Jones. He was a US Air Force Veteran and retired from the Air National Guard after 20 years of service. He was a member of Webbs Chapel United Methodist Church. He was very involved in his church where he loved to sing in the choir, was a Sunday School teacher and was part of the cooking team. He started work at J.A. Richardson Company as a sales representative, where later it changed to Atlas Marketing. He retired  and went to work part time for Cross Mark Incorporated. He was a member of the Eastern Lincoln Historical Society.

He is survived by two sisters, Gail Grice and husband Barry of Mount Holly and Ann Huff and husband Mike of Mount Holly; A brother Mike Jones and wife Lora of Mount Holly; nieces and nephews, Alissa “Leece” Grice of Portland, Oregon, Brent Grice and wife Lisa of Stanley, Kristin Cloninger and husband Justin of Gastonia and Lauren Huneycutt and husband Zach of Mount Holly; Great nieces and nephews Allie and Ryan Grice, Aiden and Alexa Cloninger, Brayden Ingold, Alaina and Rhett Huneycutt.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Jones will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at Webbs Chapel United Methodist Church, 4640 Webbs Chapel Church Rd. Denver, NC 28037

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00-1:00pm prior to the service at the church.
